Account books, 1806-1824.

Account books, 1806-1810, 1807-1817, and 1818-1824. They record sales of general merchandise, such as clothing, bread, indigo and spirits. Numerous entries record the sale of rum, gin and other liquor, including some sales by the glass. Many entries record sales only as "sundries." There are also some notes of cash lent, and interest charged for extending credit on customers' accounts. There are a few notes of payment in kind. All three books include indexes of customers' names.
